BIO

First-born son of a charming pro-ballplayer and a hard-hitting news-journalist, Blake D. Larson began his life destined for greatness… that is, until an off-duty nurse passed by watching Seinfeld on a portable TV. “Nev'ahmind!” The Child gurgled, “Baby do SHOW-BIZ instead!”

From an early age, Young Blake showed a startling aptitude for the fine(-ish) comedic arts. In 3rd Grade, he chipped his tailbone attempting to slip on a banana; in 5th, he bemused classmates with his portrayal of Miss Hannigan in an ill-fated, after-school production of Annie; and, upon entering middle-school… well, that was the year he started puberty. (But trust me, there was absolutely NOTHING funny about that...)

And thus!, driven from the Midwest like Frankenstein's monster, Blake chased the California sun until he hit the USC School of Cinematic Arts. During his tenure, Blake trained closely under David Isaacs (Cheers) and was the sole undergrad selected by Bill Prady (The Big Bang Theory) for the launch of his Advanced Comedy course. Blake also won the Jack Oakie Memorial Award for his feature (My Dead Friend), produced a short film (Maginot) that won "48-Hour Best Picture: St. Louis" at the Miami International Film Festival, and made occasional pretendies with the UCB Theater.

Upon graduating, Blake earned his first credits as a television writer for Disney XD’s The 7D. Since then, he's been fortunate to continue working: as a staff writer for DreamWorks Animation Awesomeness TV, a creative producer for Fuel Entertainment, and most recently, as a story artist for Fullscreen Media and Big Stuff Studios (Hot Wheels City / Monster Truck Island / American Girl).

Currently, Blake is eating cold pizza and hating writing his own biography.
